Replacement laces sized right for the Air Jordan 4. The AJ4's TPU "wings" give it more lacing positions than most sneakers, which is exactly why the stock laces so often end up too short once you re-lace them. We carry the lengths that actually fit it.

What length lace does a Jordan 4 need?

For the Air Jordan 4, 63" and 72" both work — the right one depends on how you lace:

  • 63" — if you lace loose, or only run the laces to the 7th–8th eyelet (the most common look on an AJ4).
  • 72" — if you lace all the way up through every position and want extra length to tie or hang.

When you're between the two, size up to 72" and tuck the extra — it's far easier than fighting a lace that's too short. We deliberately stock these exact lengths because the AJ4's lacing depth sits right in this range; a generic 54" lace (fine for a Jordan 3) will leave you short on a 4.

Best laces for the Jordan 4

The AJ4 is a flat-lace shoe, so every option below is a flat lace in the lengths that fit it:

  • Nike / Jordan / Dunk Replacement Laces — our most popular flat replacement lace, stocked deep in 63" and 72". The straightforward, true-to-original choice for restoring a clean AJ4.
  • 100% Cotton Flat Laces — a softer, premium cotton finish in 63" and 72". Subtle colors that pop without looking synthetic.
  • Waxed Cotton Flat Laces — a waxed sheen for a more elevated, structured look.
  • Vintage Faded Laces — hand-dyed, sun-faded tones that pair especially well with OG and aged colorways.

How to lace your Jordan 4

The AJ4's wings let you choose how high you route the lace. For a clean, classic finish most people criss-cross to the 7th–8th eyelet (63" is plenty here). For a fully laced, tie-at-the-top look, run all positions and go 72". Either way, measure your old lace tip-to-tip if you want to match it exactly — and remember the eyelet routing, not just shoe size, drives the length you need.
