Jordan 1 Laces — Replacement Shoelaces
Replacement Laces for the Air Jordan 1
The Air Jordan 1 is the most iconic sneaker ever made — and the most lace-swapped. Whether you're replacing a frayed stock pair or changing the color to match a new fit, getting the length right is what separates a clean lace job from a sloppy one. The most common mistake is buying a single "Jordan" length without accounting for whether you've got a High or a Low.
Air Jordan 1 High: use 63" for a clean, standard lacing, or 72" if you lace all the way to the top eyelet or want longer tails. The AJ1 High has 9 eyelets, so it runs long — 63–72" is the range.
Air Jordan 1 Low: use 54". The Low has fewer eyelets and needs noticeably less lace than the High.
We stock our laces in 36", 48", 54", 63", and 72" — deliberately chosen lengths that actually fit, instead of the random in-between sizes most shops sell. For the AJ1 High, stay in the 63–72" range; for the Low, grab 54".
Which lace should you pick?
- Nike / Jordan 1 / Dunk Replacement Laces (best all-around) — our most popular flat replacement lace, made specifically for the Jordan 1, in stock in 54", 63", and 72". This is the closest match to an OG Jordan 1 lace and the safest pick for both Highs and Lows.
- Flat 100% Cotton Laces — a softer, vintage cotton finish in 63" and 72". Perfect for the sail/cream look that's so popular on retro 1s.
- Vintage Faded Laces — hand-dyed, sun-faded laces for a worn-in, lived-in aesthetic on your 1s. Limited colors and lengths in stock.
How to lace your Jordan 1s
The most popular look is straight-bar (lace running flat across each row) for a clean OG finish — which also uses more lace than criss-cross, so don't go too short. Lots of people leave the top eyelet unlaced on a High for a looser fit; if that's you, size up to 72" so you've got enough tail to tie.
Frequently Asked Questions
What length laces do I need for Jordan 1s?
For the Air Jordan 1 High, use 63" for a standard lacing or 72" if you lace all the way up. For the Air Jordan 1 Low, use 54". The High has 9 eyelets and uses more lace than the Low.
What length are the Jordan 1 stock laces?
The factory laces on a Jordan 1 High are roughly 72", which is why many people choose 72" to match the original look. If you prefer your laces a bit shorter and cleaner, 63" works great too.
Are your laces an exact replacement for Jordan 1 laces?
Yes. Our Nike / Jordan 1 / Dunk Replacement laces are made to match the original flat lace in material, width, and finish, so they look like they came on the shoe.
What's the difference between laces for the Jordan 1 High and Low?
It's all about length. The High needs 63–72" because of its extra eyelets and taller silhouette; the Low needs 54". The lace style itself is the same — just pick the right length for your pair.
Do you ship fast?
